The Upton Fire and EMS department provides many opportunities for residents of Upton and the surrounding communities to get involved. Upton is very fortunate to have a Fire and EMS Department which follows the combination model structure, consisting of a blend of career and on-call staff. The station is staffed between the hours of 7:00am – 9:00pm 7 days a week to provide rapid emergency response during our peak call times. Call members will also respond during this time to assist whenever additional manpower is needed. During the overnight hours, the Upton Fire and EMS Department employs covering companies to ensure every call for help is answered in a timely fashion.
The Upton Fire and EMS Department prides itself on rapid response and quality emergency services for Upton residents and surrounding communities. The Department operates 2 ALS (Advanced Life Support) transport ambulances fully equipped with state of the art life-saving equipment, and has a wonderful crew of competent EMT’s and Paramedics. The Upton Fire and EMS Department responds to over 900 calls each year which include medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, brush fires, hazardous material incidents, technical rescue situations, alarms, water emergencies, and more.
